Oltepesi Tented Safari Camp is a specialist photographic safari camp in Maasai Mara in Kenya, founded in 2017 by Arnfinn Johansen and John Siololo. It is made to meet the needs of professional wildlife photographers, nature photo enthusiasts and wildlife lovers. Oltepesi offers the very best guides in Maasai Mara with many years of experience working with nature photographers.

With the best guides and specially modified vehicles for low-angle photography, our clients get the opportunity to get first-rate images. The camp also arranges for full-day game drives in the very best light.

This eco safari camp is located in Oltepesi Village, a genuine Maasai village. This way, you also have a unique opportunity to learn about the Maasai way of living, adding an exciting, authentic cultural experience to your journey. The camp is run together with the most friendly staff in the Mara. All our employees and guides are local Maasais.

At Oltepesi, we are concerned with sustainable tourism and aim for our business to contribute to nature and local communities in the Mara positively. Therefore we support two selected non-profit organisations working respectively for wildlife conservation and local health care. Our charitable partners are Remembering Wildlife and Right to Sight. Locally we are also hosting Oltepesi Public Pumphouse, a water well provided by the camp for free for all people living in the local villages neighbouring Oltepesi, and we are supporting Colobus Conservation and the local school.
