Selected from more than 19,000 images, it is a pleasure to let you know that my backlight image, “Arctic Fox and Swarming Insects”, has received a Highly Commended Award in the GDT European Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2021 (Germany).

It is also an honour that GDT has chosen my picture for the front cover of the competition’s yearbook 2021 and to market the award ceremony.

The same image also received awards in the BioPhotoContest 2021 (Italy), the International Color Awards 2021 (U.S.), the Monochrome Photography Awards 2020 (U.S), and the World’s Top 10 Wildlife Photographers 2021 by One Eyeland Awards (U.S.). So this Arctic Fox has genuinely given me good luck!
